The Company:  A successful FMCG manufacturing organisation are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and conscientious person to join their busy successful Management team. Experience in food manufacturing is essential.

The Role: The Shift Manager will be responsible for their designated team within the business including, performance tracking and improvements, meeting KPI’s in terms of efficiency’s, waste and H&S as well as being responsible for control labour and ensuring shift rotas are covered.

  • Ensure the most efficient methods and use of resources is applied.
  • Achieve production output targets to plan.
  • Review existing processes and drive improvements.
  • Effectively manage change and project work.
  • Report daily/weekly/monthly on production KPI’s.
  • Produce a monthly management report on performance and key issues.
  • Be an active member of the management team and contribute to decision-making.
  • Ensure all Company policies in relation to H&S, Food Safety and Hygiene are maintained.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth-running of all areas.
  • Lead and motivate the team to deliver quality products safely at the right cost.
  • Personal development and training of teams.
  • Monitoring processes, materials and equipment and ensure they are run at the right standards.
  • Develop Lean and C.I manufacturing processes.
  • Working closely with the Engineering Manager to co-ordinate planned maintenance.

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a people management role.
  • Experience of co-ordinating labour and resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Lean and Continuous improvement manufacturing experience.
  • Implementing and managing change within the department.
  • Previous experience working in a FOOD manufacturing environment is essential.
  • High standard of excel knowledge.

Salary: £29K – £35K plus Benefits
