          Opportunity to join an innovative market leading organisation with a successful product portfolio which has led to expansion of its technical and innovation team to develop new products for market.

          The Senior Test Technician will play an important role working between production and design departments, responsible of debug of product failures, as well as operate, maintain and upgrade production equipment/processes. This role allows you to be an active participant and contributor to Engineering and Development of new and improving existing test capability. You will be liaising with internal and external manufacturing contacts.

          Main responsibilities will include:

          • Operates and maintain production tests, jigs and fixtures. Be a key contributor in continuous improvement
          • Carry out failure analysis of products, in house and in service issues, prepare reports relating to the issue
          • Develop and maintain all required supporting documentation in accordance with Production and Engineering and QA procedures.
          • Follow configuration management processes and identify solutions where product or process falls short
          • Supports all relevant integration, and qualification activities
          • Contributes to component and equipment selection
          • Works with the Design team and provides support and advice towards Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Test (DfT) to reduce costs and time to market
          • Support Design & Development Process
          • Identifies and supports opportunities for the improvement of the engineering function
          • Supports the evaluation of CEM manufacturing processes applying knowledge of product design, assembly, testing, tooling and materials

          It is expected successful candidates will display the following attributes:

          • HNC in Electrical, Electronic Engineering or equivalent
          • Experience operating in a Production/Test Engineering environment, with responsibilities for delivery of complex electronic Products to schedule and quality against defined requirements
          • Understanding of Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Test (DfT) techniques
          • Basic ability of designing for circuits, unit design validation of components, sub-assemblies
          • Understanding of the complete Engineering Development Lifecycle (concept to disposal)

          Salary:  Up to £30K + bonus and extensive benefits
