The Company: A highly successful and growing R&D business is currently recruiting a Quality Engineer to join their team.

The Role: The Quality Engineer will play an important part at a key stage of the company’s growth and ensure compliance with industry standards. Tasks will include:

  • Verify that project teams are operating in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures for new product development and offer pragmatic guidance on compliant routes to market
  • Review and approve all project related documentation that will be used to demonstrate compliance to regulatory requirements
  • Provide regulatory and quality education and training
  • Identify and report deficiencies in accordance with the non-conformance process
  • Develop the master validation plan for the introduction of manufacturing equipment and processes into production
  • Review and approve validation protocols including IQ, OQ and PQ, providing support for any statistical techniques and analysis required
  • Working closely with the design team, identify appropriate critical to quality features and generate first article inspection and goods receiving inspection plans
  • Work with the SQE to ensure that the design supply base is sufficiently robust to ensure delivered product is compliant

The Candidate:  Quality Engineer

  • Ideally Degree qualified in an engineering, medical or other relevant subject
  • Previous experience gained as a Quality Engineer (or relevant role) in a highly regulated environment is essential
  • An understanding of process validation, process control and electronics manufacturing techniques is desirable
  • Ideally supported design teams with the regulatory pathway from the definition of a project to release to market

Salary: To £45,000 plus benefits
