A highly successful and growing medical technology business is currently recruiting a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join their team based in South Wales.

The Role:  The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the successful introduction of products from development phase into full manufacturing within a low volume medical devices manufacturing environment. Tasks include:

  • Facilitate successful handover and transition from product development to manufacturing
  • Manage all V&V activities associated with the release of processes
  • Liaise with the design authority during the design phase to ensure DFM
  • Identify and lead improvements in manufacturing processes
  • Lead the review of complaints with respect to product failure from a manufacturing engineering perspective
  • Engage with suppliers to evaluate and adopt any product or process improvements that they suggest for improving DFM

The Candidate:  Lead Manufacturing Engineer

  • Ideally holds a Degree, HNC or HND or equivalent in an Engineering or technical discipline
  • Must have experience working within the medical devices industry, ideally in a Manufacturing Engineering or similar role
  • Product and process Validation and Verification expertise
