          Document Controller / Configuration Technician / Project Controller

          Opportunity to join an innovative market leading organisation with a successful product portfolio which has led to expansion of its technical and innovation team to develop new products for market.

          The business seeks a Configuration Technician to manage their Configuration Management System across the business. You will be involved in all aspects of Configuration Management from database maintenance to configuration auditing:

          Main responsibilities will include:

          • Work alongside senior V&V Engineer to plan and implement configuration management principles, business rules, processes and procedures including leading change meetings
          • Manage the configuration item register(s) and its input into the MRP system.
          • Dissemination engineering design definitions in terms of part numbers, quantities and bills of material, determined by their individual physical and functional characteristics.
          • Performs review of proposed product changes to assure configuration integrity in support of the approval process.
          • Supports Supply Chain and Warehouse teams with the creation and management of components and parts.
          • Performs configuration status audits.
          • Identifies areas of improvement to the existing Configuration Management System

          It is expected successful candidates will display the following attributes:

          • Experienced in Configuration Management or Document Control, with an understanding of all the principles of Configuration Management.
          • Previous experience in engineering and/or product development environments.
          • An understanding of the Engineering Development Lifecycle.
          • Ability to chair multi-disciplined meeting.
          • Experience in administration and use of MRP systems.
          • IT literate with the ability to use MS Excel, Word and Outlook proficiently.
          • Good technical writing skills with attention to detail and thoroughness.
          • Structured, well organised and self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.

          This role will be suitable for candidates who have gained experience as Document Controller, Project Support Officer, Configuration Technician, Project Co-ordinator, Project Controller, PMO Support, PMO administrator, Change Co-ordinator, Project Assistant,

          Salary:  Up to £30K + bonus and extensive benefits
