Job: Buyer

The Company: A highly successful and growing highly regulated manufacturing business is currently recruiting a Buyer to join their team.

The Role: Reporting to the Head of Procurement and Supply

• This role focuses on spend categories that are identified as key areas of cost management for the business, and involves all aspects of sourcing, negotiating and supplier relationship engagement.
• Review and cost analysis across all site spend categories with a strong emphasis on cost reduction
• Raw material sourcing from a global supply base
• Developing working knowledge of various aspects of procurement, including materials, engineering, services, Capex projects, consumable and indirect spend, facilities management
• Supporting our Materials Management Team with supply/supplier issues

The Candidate: 

• Ideally CIPS qualified
• Able to demonstrate a successful track record in purchasing
• Experience of supplier relationship management
• Flexible approach
• Minimum level of education to GCSE (Mathematics and English)
• Experience operating in highly regulated environment would be an advantage
