Job Description:
Company: A Hardware Engineer is required by an industry leading company in the Aerospace sector due to winning several new contracts.
Role:
To discover, document, and analyse Hardware requirements in order to define the functions to be implemented in Hardware.
To define the basic structure of Hardware at the architectural and detailed levels, division into modules, definition of interfaces for modules, and choice of implementation within modules
The design management and design, modification, commissioning, verification and proving of electronic circuits and their embodiment in ruggedised products
The preparation of plans and documentation in support of the qualification and certification/approval of safety critical products in accordance with programme-specific requirements
Troubleshooting and problem resolution of issues identified during production or in service
Candidate:
BSc or equivalent in Electronics Engineering or closely related discipline
Significant experience in engineering
Extensive electronic hardware design skills, from interpretation, through design, development, debugging, and documentation
Recent, relevant experience in at least 3 of the following:
designing microprocessor circuitry
designing analogue circuitry
logic design and schematic capture techniques
low voltage power supply/power switching techniques
designing to meet EMC/lighting design protection requirements
Experience of preparing circuit board and equipment level test specifications
Flexible with regards a small amount of travel to USA or Europe and within the UK
Prepared to work overtime to meet project/business needs.
