Job Description:

The Company: A leading contract manufacturer supplying the aerospace, automotive and defence industries

• Identify alternative suppliers (with Purchasing Managers supervision), sourcing new opportunities for parts
• Ensure that the purchasing system is updated frequently with order confirmations, delivery updates, and identifying/resolving delivery problems when appropriate
• Negotiate and manage suppliers inline with the businesses KPI’s
• Produce monthly reports on supplier spend and delivery performance, identifying opportunities to improve supplier performance.

• Experience of working in a similar role and ideally within a contract manufacturer
• Must have exposure of buying electronics, cabling or wiring
• Ability to prioritise workloads, and project manage
• Proven experience of successful negotiation in a purchasing environment
• Strategic sourcing experience is a must
• Ideally you will have CIPS qualification, or will be studying towards this
